MANASOTA KEY is an enchanting barrier island off the coast of Englewood where there are no high-rises, no traffic lights, just a two-lane road and pristine Beaches. A funky little place with 6 little cottages and an "old FL" feel...it truly is like stepping back in time. Relax and play a lot while you are here. Just 270 steps to the beach! 100 yards down Sand Dollar Lane enjoy Gulf or Bay fishing, shelling, lounging. Located on Manasota Key, a very narrow barrier island and equidistant to the Gulf and the Bay (Lemon Bay - Intercoastal Waterway) Very quiet and peaceful. Great local restaurants, 3 right on the Key and many just a short drive over the bridge.

dogs are NOT allowed on the beach but the unit is pet-friendly

Pet friendly but you must supply details of what you are bringing: breed, not size, and all pets must be approved in advance. For insurance purposes, pit bulls, rotties, chows and some others are not allowed. Not my choice but dictated by insurance....sorry, as I know dogs in those breeds are not all bad but the insurance company has its rules.
