A little bit about us

Rikki's Refuge in Orange County, Virginia, is a 367 acre, no-kill, all species peaceful sanctuary supported solely by donations of kind and loving individuals. It is owned and operated by Life Unlimited of Virginia, Inc. an approved not-for profit Virginia Corporation and IRS tax code 501(c)(3) corporation as determined by the IRS. Federal Tax-ID number 54-1911042. A financial statement is available upon written request from the State Office of Consumer Affairs.

Programs
Rikki's operates under five programs ranging from lifecare to maintaining the biological diversity of Virginia flora and fauna. Read more

Staff and Volunteers
The majority of the day-to-day care of the animals at Rikki's is provided by our dedicated staff. Their days start at 8:00 am and end around 5:00 pm with the bulk of their work done outdoors. Volunteers provide both on- and off-site help. Learn more about them
